Playing Poker Online

Please consider using my banner ads if you are going to open an account at an online poker site. This is a free site and the only way I make money, to keep this site going, is from the advertising on the right side of this page. If you've received a ton of information from my site, you might consider using my banners as a way of saying thanks!

If you haven't yet played poker on the internet ... you don't know what you're missing! There's always a game going and you don't have to worry about transportation. I love to play low-stakes no-limit tournaments online. The winnings can be quite lucrative and even if you only break even - it's loads of entertainment! You don't even have to play with real money, you can sign up for an account an play against others using play money. Poker Stars even has free roll tournaments that cost nothing to enter and can win you a free seat at a real money tournament! Money for nothin' and your chips for free!

Many online poker sites offer bonuses when you open an account. Read the terms and conditions carefully. There are usually some pretty strict rules as to how many raked hands you must play before you 'earn' that bonus money. These rules generally do not favor tournament players! On some sites you cannot earn any bonus money by playing tournaments, you must play raked ring games (non-tournaments).

European poker rooms and casinos

Click here for information about French online poker rooms, German online poker rooms, or Italian poker rooms. For information about European casinos you can try Casinos en linea, Euro Online Casinos, Online Internet Casinos, Casinos Deutschland, or Casinos auf Deutsch.

Hot Poker Bonus

Poker Bonus has poker bonus codes and reviews for many of the top poker rooms including Poker Star.com. If you would like to read about high stakes poker then go to Full Tilt Poker.net where they have the top pros playing daily.

Dutch Online Poker

We offer our visitors the best information about playing online poker from The Netherlands and Belgium. Whits Poker rooms offers the best Dutch poker bonuses and you can deposit and withdraw money using the Dutch online payment method IDEAL. You can find it all on Online Poker Info!

To fund your online poker account with real money, you can use a credit card (rare because most credit card companies routinely decline online gaming transactions), Western Union, or NETeller. You can also send a bank draft or money order directly to the poker site. PayPal will not send money to a gambling site.

NETeller is, in my opinion, the best method to fund your poker account. You transfer funds from your bank account into NETeller, then from NETeller to the poker site. The cost is ... free! First, you go to the NETeller website and authorize a withdrawal from your U.S. or Canadian bank account. It then takes 4 to 5 business days for the funds to appear in your NETeller account. You then go the poker site and instantly transfer your funds from your NETeller account to your poker site account.

The bad news is it takes about a week to set up your NETeller account for the first time. The other bad news is that it usually takes 4 or 5 business days to transfer money from your bank to NETeller. NETeller, in effect, earns interest on your money for 4 days. But the service is free and when you think about it ... maybe it's not such a good idea to have the ability to immediately transfer money into a poker site! If you go broke, you've got 4 or 5 days to cool off before you can refund your account. I'll conveniently forget to inform you that you can also use the 'InstaCash' feature to immediately fund your account. Forget I said that. Also forget that I muttered something about the poker site usually being willing to reimburse you for the 9% finance charge for using NETeller InstaCash. Forget I said that too.

How to deposit: You must verify your bank account with them and then you write them an 'e-check.' In other words, you tell them how much to deduct from your bank account and they do it. The process is instantaneous, unlike NETeller, where it takes 3 days to send them money from your bank account.

How to withdraw: You can have them EFT you the money back to you. They charge you $10 to do this and it takes several days. One problem though is that you must wait six business days after your last deposit to withdraw any money.

Cashing out your winnings is not something to worry about. Most of these sites will credit your NETeller or Firepay account within two business days. It is a rarity if it takes longer than that. So make your deposit, play for a while and once you make money (say after a week), cash out some and it should be in your account within two days. It will then take another two or three days to transfer your money from NETeller/Firepay to your bank account. It works, and it costs ... nothing!

I am not going to update or improve this particular page
because there are too many good sites similar to this page already available on the internet.
My website concentrates on home (live) poker play rather than online play.
